
Our consolidated net sales for the year ending March 2008 reached 144.5 billion yen, #2 in the industry.
The sports retailing market shrunk 25% between 1996 and 2006, from 2.4 to 1.8 trillion yen. Conversely, aggressive expansion by the industry's major players during the same period meant that retail space actually grew 16%, from 2.44 to 2.84 million square meters. In this fiercely competititve atmosphere, our market share has increased 8% as sales grew by 3.3 times from 44.1 billion (3/97 non-consolidated) to 144.5 billion yen (3/08 consolidated).
